Susan Shipley-Morgan, Shelley Saunders, Colleen Hickling, Aaron Redekopp

Susan Shipley-Morgan

Susan Shipley-Morgan is the owner and operator of the company. Susan’s experience begins with 5 years of experience working with a national rehabilitation facility, providing education seminars to industry, nurses, physicians and training rehabilitation specialists.

Susan holds a Bachelor of Physical Education (Kinesiology) and a Diploma of Applied Psychology and Counselling (Kelowna College of Professional Counsellors). She has also completed training in Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) through the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s Opening Minds program, including Introduction to Psychological Health and Safety and Integrating Psychological Health and Safety into the Workplace. Susan has owned and operated Injury Prevention and Management Group for the past twenty-five years. Susan is also a Candidate member with the Canadian College of Professional Counsellors & Psychotherapists and offers counselling services.She brings the following experience:
  • Degree in Physical Education
  • Recreation Administration Diploma
  • Specialist in development and co-ordination of Train-the-Trainer Programs
  • Facilitator of practical injury prevention workshops for employees and management.
  • Developing specialized and custom training programs for industries, rehabilitation and insurance programs.
  • Highly skilled in communication and conflict resolution.
  • Training in Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) through the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s Opening Minds program.
Susan’s interpersonal skills are excellent. She is intuitive, compassionate, and articulate in her communication. Particularly, she is skilled at building therapeutic relationships. Susan enjoys counselling all age groups with a specific passion for the age group from ten to twenty-one. She relates well to these ages. Susan attributes this to the strong relationship she has always had with her two sons. More specifically, she and her boys journeyed beside their Dad through his difficult cancer diagnosis in 2011 and stood with him as he courageously fought and eventually lost his battle with cancer in February 2015.

Shelley Saunders

Shelley has worked with IPMG for the past 17 years. She has 18 years experience as a physiotherapist working in the clinical setting, assessing and treating a variety of client populations.

The majority of her time in the past decade has been spent providing ergonomic analysis, pre-employment screens, work site assessments, disability management, and injury prevention workshops and seminars.

She brings the following experience:

  • Bachelor of Science Physical Therapy
  • Assessment and treatment of clients with vestibular and concussion concerns.
  • Coordinating appropriate treatment programs for injured workers and directing clinical care.
  • Performing work site ergonomic assessments and pre-employment screening.
  • Facilitation of workshop based injury prevention seminars for employees and supervisors.
  • Member of the Finding Balance Falls Prevention Network.

Colleen Hickling

Colleen Hickling has been part of the IPMG team for the past 13 years. Colleen has over 20 years’ experience in the health care industry and private business with a focus on facilitated training and prevention programs.

She brings the following experience:

  • Facilitating innovative and interactive safety training for new employees.
  • Facilitating process and leadership based training for supervisors
  • Specialist the delivery of injury prevention seminars.
  • Highly skilled in communication and conflict resolution.
  • Experience with behavior based safety training.
  • Prosci Change Management Certified

Aaron Redekopp

Aaron Redekopp has been with IPMG since 2013 as an Injury Prevention Trainer and Management Consultant. Over the past 13 years, she has worked with organizations to deliver injury prevention training, ergonomic assessments, and return-to-work support programs. Aaron holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and previously worked as a Kinesiologist for an international oil and gas company, where she supervised injury prevention initiatives in the workplace.
She brings the following experience: 
  • Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology
  • Conducting worksite and individual ergonomic assessment
  • Facilitating injury prevention seminars
  • Development of company-specific Injury Prevention training
  • Return to Work Coordinator (WCB Return to Work Certified)
  • Certified CPR and First Aid instructor through St. John’s Ambulance
  • Development of company-specific Return to Work programs
  • Facilitator of stretching and walking programs for healthy lifestyles
  • Training in Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) through the Mental Health Commission of Canada’s Opening Minds program.
